It has been tough this year.  Since the beginning of RubiesRoost, which became MichRedHatters, along with the email network, RubiesReport and michredhatters-socialnetwork I have supported and covered the expense of these information venues.  This month however I ran into major financial problems ... I almost saw these information networks go belly up, but we made it.  The cost to print RubiesReport went up 50% last month and it was in the red before the sixth issue. Now against everything I believe in I find myself asking for financial support from members.  I hate it but as a good Red Hat friend told me "just think how awful it would be if Michigan did loose it's comunication network" , so I must ask for help.  To donate click on support

Well here it is June and I just got out the 5th issue of Rubies Report.  This year has been quit and experience.  Rubies Report always seems to be running late.  It is just one thing after another the holds it up.  So Red Hatters have told me that they got copies with pages missing ...Oh Boy...LOL..  If you did let me know and I'll send you a new one.  I was having server problems and it took weeks before I could do any editing to this site.  I just wanted to dope ya'll a note while I was in editing.  Have a Great Summer and get out and Red Hat.

As I am sitting in my PJs nursing a cold and trying to get our

e-blasts & website caught up I'm  thinking what a tough year

this has been for so many.  The only thing left to do is

count blessings.  I have so many,  I have experienced Christmas

miracles.  We all need to try to make each others life a little

brighter ..though love & kindness.  Many the Joy of Christmas

be with you throughout the entire year.

Well Ladies we did it again the 3rd issue of Rubies Report was mailed this week.

I've been realy busy the past month or so and not at home which makes thing more difficult.

I really had a hard time getting it completed for you.  Thank Gosh I had decided to move the

October issue to November so our advertising/supporters could take advantage and include

their Christmas specials.  Thanks again for all of your support and warmth.

Let me take the time here and now to wish you all the Happiest of Holidays.  Time are tough

so do only what you can and do not stress.  Remember this, it is a quote I found and I believe it applies more this year than any year I can remember...  “If there is no joyous way to give a festive gift, give love away. “  Unknown

New News!  "Rubies Report" a Michigan Newsletter

I will be publishing a new newsletter call "RUBIES REPORT" for Michigan Red Hatters that subscribe.   It will be a bi-monthly publication and contain a listing of all of the events that are received via email to Rubies Roost.  It will all have a Featured Michigan Chapter with color front page photo(s).  There will be advertisers, retailers and vendor listings.  The cost for this New Michigan Red Hatters Newsletter ...Rubies Report ..will cost $20. per year for 6 issues.  The First issue will be release Mid-June.  For more details on how to have Rubies Report sent to your home via snail mail (no internet use necessary) call me, Susan Browne at (313) 550-0922 or email me at susanbrowne@rubiesroost.com

 Michigan Queens Email Network

Good new ladies I believe we have the Michigan Queens Email Network up and running again.   Thanks to some IT people that contacted me and advised a new email program that I am now using.  Hopefully you have received your first email last week.   Strangly enough, even with the new email format and program, someone ( I know of only one becasue the new program reports to me when it happens) has reported me to their internet server as a spammer.  I'm probably singing to the choir here but everyone on the Queens email network has signed up to receive the email.  I strongly believe it is not a red hatter but a but someone who shares an email address with a red hatters.

 

Keep sending me your chapter events and I be sure that they get shared with all Michigan Queens and Queens contact that have signed up to receive them.   I will also, continue to post them on the website at www.michredhatters.com   These event postings can be located by clicking on the "Chapter Hoots" link.  All events are posted in Chronological order.

There is a Michredhatters social network just for Michigan Red Hatters.  To avoid spammers you much be invited to join.  Email me with your request to join and I will send your via email an invitation.  Be ready to join when you open the inviation because if you close it without joining you can not open it again later and you will need a new invitation.

 

 DO NOT BE AFRAID TO DO THIS.  This networking site will allow you to have Red Hat Friends all over  Michigan
